I joined My course In Ma in Fashion thinking that I would learn something in Fashion Promotion and there would be necessary faculties who would guide me in my subject specially in Fashion Styling as my subject to cut the long story short I would have assistance and would be able to do whatever I intend to do.
But as in life not everything is as rosy as it sounds things always donot turn out the way one plans.I donot want to blame any faculty or a specific person for this because I was not clear of my final take FASHION DESIGN/FASHION STYLING.Having said that I also would like to mention that no faculty also helped me to get rid of this confusion its very easy to say one should do what you like but very difficult to set the path.I tried my level best to research on Fashion styling as a profession &some stylists indeed. To add to which the workshop of Fashion Promotion was of much help in terms of I did research on different levels of Fashion Promotion with my key interest in Fashion styling & also when we were asked to redesign a brand I did it on COS which gave my mind different directions to think also in terms of d look and styling of the brand. Here also came the sad part when I asked the Fashion Promotion tutor Hywiel Davies since he had been a Fashion stylist for a magazine to help me or if possible provide me guidance in terms of the various key points in Styling. His reply kept me stranded in grief &despair which was I teach only BA students not MA.To which I asked if I could just meet him I understand he is busy but
Does MA students have no value or is it me who has no value?????????
Is MA just two letters with no depth behind it???
Or MA students or nothing when compared to BAstudents??
I was really unhappy when I sent innumerous mails to him to meet but there was no positive response from his side.I tried to find some different route keeping in mind that probably my tutor Davina could help me which she did in some ways but the fact is that Iam NOT from Fashion styling background so i need enough guidance in this regard.Though My tutor mentioned that If you are in Fashion you can do it there is no reason you can't which I do understand but the truth is Iam new in this regard with no professional guidance from the person in the required field it does matter in your performance in the long run plus im doing MA course and in the end of course I am required to come up with great quality of indepth volume of work in my field and having a not so strong infact no earlier background in Fashion styling and no previous experience in it I donot think It would have been a good idea to risk my MA in this way which according to me sounded not a very smart decision making.Instead being practical and working with my strengths and taking small risks sounded a good idea;which was that I stick to Fashion Design as thats my background then design a collection &come up with interesting garments as per my theme then style them fantastically with may be a lookbook of Styling elements in the end keeping in mind my Fashion styling interest.
Going into the flash back is so difficult with specially this period was the worst part of my course because this dilemma gave me Sleepless nights, irritation, health problems, depression& God knows what not.:(((((((((
Probably my dilemma has ended or probably not i guess time would tell that .But for now I guess I have reached some conclusion with it.If Iam so interested in Fashion styling I think I should do an internship with or asa stylist which might give my mind a clear direction and I would get to know my future goals as well. But for this MA course I couldnot have thought of a better decision keeping all the key parameters in mind.

Tour De London:Documentary on street fashion
The street is both the stage upon which the drama unfolds&bottom line metaphor for what is presumed to be happening in our society today.
Covering a wide range of streets in terms of Fashion and encountered a plethora of emotions.
Artistic trends, lifestyle, colors etc tend to originate from the street mostly refering to the bubble up theory.
This documentary is an attempt from my side to follow my research about street fashion in an unconventional way and kind of my own version of trend development on the exuberant and varied streets of London where each was different from the other in more ways than one ;hinting at the different lifestyle of people hereby reffering to a kind of story of people who are my target audience.
Thus wandering on the streets of London in complete awe of the Fashion scene began my journey.

Start Of my Major Project
In continuation with my research project on street style I was really inspired by the clothes worn by people on street Of London and not just that but the various combination of clothing, layering, the way they accessorized their stuff which seemed very interesting.I began by clicking pictures of people on street the way i liked it for the start.I travelled from different streets in London with my digicam, handy cam for capturing movie of the people. Each street had different set of people ,the ambience and feel as well as the segmentation of each street was varied for example south kensington consisted o f people who were more cultural in their perspective, Camden town gave the reflection of goth and punk era,Brick Lane was more cultural kind of place with people of artistic background. So capturing the different streets with different set of people was very intriguing.
